Hindu Journalist Rana Pratap Bairagi Gunned Down in Bangladesh: Yunus Regime's War on Minorities Escalates.

Rana Pratap Bairagi, a prominent Hindu journalist and ice factory owner, was shot dead in broad daylight in Jessore on January 4, 2026. This brutal murder marks the fifth targeted attack on Hindus in just three weeks, exposing the Muhammad Yunus interim regime's total collapse of law and order.

Grisly Details of the Assassination

Three motorcycle-riding assailants dragged the 38-year-old from his Kapalia Bazar shop, forced him into an alley, and fired five bullets into his head at close range around 5:45 PM. Bairagi died instantly as panicked locals scattered; his body went to Jessore General Hospital for autopsy. As acting editor of Dainik BD Khobor and son of schoolteacher Tushar Kanti, his success made him a prime target for radicals thriving under Yunus rule.

Wave of Hindu Persecutions

This follows Deepu Chandra Das's lynching and a string of temple burnings, rapes, and killings post-Sheikh Hasina's ouster. Yunus's government issues post-murder press releases but arrests no one, fueling fears of pre-election ethnic cleansing ahead of February 12 polls. Police admit four cases against Bairagi exist, yet offer no motive – impunity reigns supreme.

Demand Immediate Global Intervention

Bangladesh Al-Jameela condemns this Hindu genocide: end mob violence now, protect minorities, launch UN probes. Share this truth – silence enables slaughter.
