Testimonies from Victims Shahin Alam, a Bangladeshi citizen, recounted how his younger brother, Shamim Molla, was abducted and killed by followers of Dr. Yunus. “My brother was mercilessly killed in a senseless attack. Bangladesh has descended into lawlessness. Known terrorists have been released from jail, and fundamentalist group members are now in power. I am determined to get justice,” said Mr. Alam.
The Larger Political Context Ironically, the current administration has also signaled its intent to bring similar charges against the former Sheikh Hasina government, accusing it of mass killings and enforced disappearances during its 16-year rule.
